I used to think I needed more sleep, and I did. I used to think I needed more exercise, and I did.

Now I have sleep and exercise. And I'm still frazzled.

Now what?

This is going to sound kind of woo-woo, but I have two suggestions. One of them is trying five to ten minutes of the kind of meditation that is just deep breathing and mindfulness, lying on your back or sitting comfortably. For me, this will either highlight that my brain is going in circles and sometimes point out a particular stressor that I can address (either practically by handling it or by focusing on letting it go) or will highlight a particular part of my body that I didn't realize was tense and causing me to feel jangly and nasty--lower back is a big one there.

The other is that I have no idea how your eating habits and your body do with each other, and I don't mean whether you eat according to someone else's plan, I mean things like me doing better if I have really dark green leafy things in at least one meal daily and absolutely no chips (potato, tortilla, etc.) ever. These are things that can make me feel frazzly even when everything else is fine. Mileage varies so extremely there that I'm not suggesting that for you it's leafy greens or whatever, I'm just wondering if there's a thing or lack of a thing. A piece of citrus fruit every day or else not eating citrus after 5 p.m., some weird body hack that works for the body you've got.

They should have given us manuals for our model units, I tell you what.

I have been feeling okay about food, but I haven't been adhering to The Thing That Makes Me Feel Awesome, in part because that thing is so inconvenient. I need to do the thing. Eggs and beans and green leafies in the morning being that thing.
