Dream Obama

I dreamed I was running a 5k (or something; that part is not clear), and fell and skinned my knee--and an onlooker with an entourage of men in dark suits came to help me!  And it was Obama--and the suits were the Secret Service!

As he was applying bactine to my knee, I said, "I really have to thank you. I no longer wake up every morning with a feeling of dread about the leadership of my country."

And he leaned back on his heels and regarded me.  "That's it? That's all? That's a bit apathetic.  I'm glad you don't have dread. But what are you doing to help?"

And I woke up, thoroughly chastised by dream!Obama.

Hilariously, when I told everyone at work about this dream, they all felt chastised by dream!Obama as well.

My subconscious is a treacherous place, and one cannot be smug there.  Or near it.

I think that may be one of the most awesome dreams I have ever heard. Seriously.

My grandmother was prone to dreaming about Jesus, who chastised her for the young'uns in the family being heathens. I suppose I'm continuing with the family tradition, but in my own way.

What She Said.

(And I feel chastised too.)

Whoa!!!

I'm convinced of it, he's the avatar of Jesus.

I also feel chastised!

Also, yours is much better than the random Obama dream I had a few weeks ago(in which he was shaking hands and signing autographs for everyone, but seemed really tired, and I felt bad for joining the line of people demanding his attention).

That's fabulous.

great dream. Obviously, the 5k symbolizes a daily word-count goal.

Hmm. C. G. Jung would have a field day if Obama's influence affect dreamscapes...

Your subconscious entertains me so.

That's pretty much what it's there for.

I, too, feel chastened, which makes me resentful. I want dream-Obama to pop by my brain so I respond my asking him what he's doing to help me meet my server transition targets. Also, I'd like to ask how he can give anyone else that grief if he has time to treat skinned knees at a 5k. :)

I'm too busy pondering the chastened/chastised usage to worry about what you just said. You've outworded me.

Awesome.

That is awesome. I wish I had dreams that motivational!

I missed this this morning! I feel the need to tell others about Dream Obama.

[identity profile] captainblack.livejournal.com 2010-02-09 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
sigh.

I've been reading some articles about how the intrusive "anti terrorism" assaults upon civil liberties started in GWB's terms have been continued in Obama's administration.

One article likened the U.S. government to a railway. The president is the conductor, but cannot change the tracks. In the mind of the hopeful voter, this is a car, which the president could turn a ninety degree corner in if he tried hard enough. But there are no 90 degree turns on train tracks.
