erm, so....

The new Scrubs has really grown on me, and it's in large part due to the character of Cole, who I thought I hated at first, but then does stuff like this:

(play from 1:58 to about 2:30. Just about the best 32 seconds of my week, at one point.)

Oh, it's still problematic--what's with replacing all your diverse cast with skinny blonde chicks?--but once they got Braff hustled off to retirement, it got loads better. Strangely enough.

It's not the same show, but. Re-see above clip!

I do actually like this version more without JD, and the Turk/Cox show is starting to grow on me, but I wouldn't keep watching it if the [livejournal.com profile] dwinn weren't.

And okay, the Nickleback thing was hysterical.

It's been yanked off the schedule presently and the last episode in the can may not air.

The removal of JD was noted in my house as a huge positive. And the "all blonde all the time" is really strange, even though one of them is Australian (that makes it different, right?).

I still miss Carla. The mix of strong female characters was one of my favorite things about the show. On top of all the females now being skinny and blonde, only Dr. Mahony seems to have any of the old 'tude.
